About Eurotrade

Eurotrade is the retail specialist of Munich Airport. Eurotrade operates large parts of the retail space at Munich Airport. Founded in 1973 and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH, it provides passengers and customers with a positive shopping experience. Eurotrade operates around 50 stores on an area of approximately 14,000 square meters, divided into four sales areas: Duty-Free, Fashion, Press & Travel, and Watches & Jewelry. The company's own brands and franchise concepts offer customers high-quality international brands and selected regional products.

 

The Project

Eurotrade was looking for a way to advertise their in-store promotions via digital channels before guest departures. Digital Wallet boarding passes have been well-established in the airline industry and are therefore a known and accepted means of communication among the target group.

Since 2019, Eurotrade has been issuing coupons to travelers using Passcreator's mobile Wallet. Additionally, these coupons are linked to other channels, such as ads on the Miles & More website or the "Passngr" app.

By combining the existing communication channels with Wallet coupons, the success of individual advertising media can be analyzed better. In addition to broadly distributed promotions, the use of a wallet coupon also allows for highly targeted campaigns. Push notification functionality makes it possible to remind the user upon arrival at the airport.

This combination has led to Passcreator coupons being an integral component of Eurotrade's marketing campaigns.
