Richco Harley-Davidson in Thailand was looking for a solution to not only digitize their membership program, but also to increase customer retention and loyalty. They wanted the ability to enable customers to easily see the number of points they had and provide different tiers based on the amount they spent.

The Solution

Richco uses Passcreator by Fobi to build lasting relationships with their customers using digital membership cards that build loyalty and drive engagement. Richco Harley-Davidson has set up the program to enable customers to collect points for all of their purchases. Richco is also able to communicate directly with their customers about points and promotions using the push notification feature.

How it Works

Customers visit a Richco location and scan a QR code to visit their website to sign up for the Richco Privileged Membership. In the form, customers fill out their Name, Address, Phone Number, and Email and are then digitally sent a membership card to download to their mobile wallet.

Customers earn various amounts of points for every ฿1,000 baht spent on parts and accessories, service, and general merchandise at Richco Harley-Davidson, depending on how much they spend in total in a year (see below for the point totals). They can then use these points like cash with a cash ratio of 1 point equal to ฿1 baht cash. Richco has different tiers of membership called “Gears” that determine how many points a customer receives per ฿1,000 spent.

This entices them to remain loyal to their dealer and return to earn more points or exchange them for discounts on products in the dealership.

Of all of the loyalty accounts created in the past 12 months, Richco Harley-Davidson® has a wallet pass retention rate of 45% which is higher on average than loyalty app retention rates.

The Outcome
